As it comes together, patterns are becoming more distinct on various surfaces at the massive construction project, The Well, in Downtown Toronto. In the Front Street-facing, second-storey section pictured here by UrbanToronto Forum contributor Red Mars, variously flat or finned panels in the colour of terracotta are being applied between, above, or below the windows. The projecting fins create dramatic places for shadow, their rigidly geometric repetition creating eye-catching patterns. As the installation of the fins continue around the corners, we will have more architectural eye candy to delight the visual cortex.
