Toronto is more often than not a serious city, not particularly flashy, especially as it comes to new buildings; most developers of new condos and office buildings opt for a sober presence, and for such new long-lasting additions to the city, avoiding the frivolous seems like a wise move. All that means that on occasion when we do see a little frivolity on the streetscape, it's worth a mention and a smile. Here, on King Street immediately west of Blue Jays Way, UT Forum contributor Red Mars spotted two portholes in a plywood wall at the construction site of a Great Gulf condo which are now waving at you. Dear construction worker with a positive outlook and a nice sense of humour, whoever you are, thanks for your spray-painted gesture, we're waving back at you!
