Following on the heels of Graywood Developments' SCOOP Condos across the street, the developer's next project known as Scout Condos is progressing through construction on St Clair Avenue West near Weston Road in Toronto's Carleton Village neighbourhood. The 12-storey, CMV Group architects-designed building celebrated a ground breaking in December, 2019, and it's been full steam ahead ever since, with the building's underground levels now rapidly rising up to grade.

The end of 2019 ground breaking was conducted while demolition progressed on the car dealership that stood on the St Clair and Osler Street site; it had been repurposed as a condo sales centre in its final days. Shoring began in the weeks that followed, paving the way for excavation, which eventually bottomed out at a depth of two storeys in August. Next, a tower crane was installed at the base of the pit, allowing forming to begin.

The most recent views show both underground floors now in varying stages of forming. At the site's west end, foundations—including a large slab and outer walls—are still taking shape alongside sections of the P2 level. Towards the east end of the site, much of the P2 level has been formed, and the first sections of the P1 level have begun to materialize above.

The next major milestone is now just around the corner, when construction reaches grade level. In the months that will follow that, Scout Condos will rise over 39 metres above St. Clair West, and will introduce 261 new homes to the neighbourhood once construction wraps up.
