A stone's throw from Yonge and Dundas in the heart of Toronto, a new 30-storey, Turner Fleischer Architects-designed tower is quickly ascending above Edward Street. Known as Panda Condominiums, the project has been under construction since Summer, 2018 and has been making fast progress west of Yonge Street since rising above street level at the start of 2020.

Structural completion of the building's three-storey podium came in June, the forming of the first tower floors in July, and most recently, the first panels of charcoal-toned brick cladding were applied in September. Now in October, enough tower floors rise above the podium that the building's tenth floor is now being formed. Due to the reduced floor-plate size and the repeating layouts, the tower levels are rising at a much faster rate than the podium floors before. With podium ceiling heights higher than the residential floors above, Panda is well over one third of the way to its final height of 107.6 metres.

Once complete, the project will bring 555 condominium units to the Yonge and Dundas area, as well as a mixed-use podium containing 1,100 m² of commercial retail space on the ground floor, and another 2,750 m² on the second floor, and over 2,750 m² of office space on the third floor. The below-grade concourse level—which one day may be connected to a second Dundas subway station exit—will include an additional 1,860 m² of commercial retail space.

As construction brings the tower into the local skyline, sales continue for remaining suites. Eight three-bedroom and three-bedroom+den layouts remain available on the project's website. Sales currently come with limited-time incentives from Lifetime, including 5% deposit + 2% on occupancy + $20,000 cash back, as well as free parking and locker with $0 levies.
