This week's Throwback Thursday shows over four years of changes to the Toronto skyline as seen from Broadview Avenue, overlooking Riverdale Park. Back in July, 2015, the southwest-facing view from the top of the ravine showed cranes marking the construction sites of (L-R) Backstage on The Esplanade, the topped-out L Tower, INDX Condos, the topped-out Pace Condominiums, and Studio + Studio2 on Richmond.
The same view captured at the end of October, 2019 shows that all those projects had since been completed, while a long list of new additions can be spotted on the skyline. This view now includes (L-R), Harbour Plaza Residences, CIBC SQUARE, Ten York Street, 88 Scott Street, Yonge & Rich Condominiums, 88 North, EY Tower, Ryerson Jarvis Residence, Massey Tower, Grid Condos, Dundas Square Gardens, Velocity at the Square, and Ryerson's Daphne Cockwell Complex.
You can't really blink an eye around here without things changing, can you?!
We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto. In the meantime, you can submit your own Throwback Thursday comparisons in our dedicated Forum thread for your chance to be featured in next week's edition.
