This week's Throwback Thursday takes us back over three and a half years for view of University Avenue in Downtown Toronto. In November 2015, a south-facing view from Toronto General Hospital showed a crane in place atop an 18-storey office building, marking one of the first big signs of activity for Amexon Development Corporation's Residences of 488 University Avenue. On the right, another crane was in place at the topped-out Tableau Condominiums project in the Entertainment District.

Fast forward to July 2019, and the Core Architects-designed condominium tower at 488 University is now topping out with 37 new levels atop the structurally reinforced office building at University and Dundas. On the right, the completed Tableau has been joined by a new crane, this one building Greenpark's 330 Richmond condominium tower, also designed by Core Architects.

We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto.
