Yonge and Eglinton for a long time now has been one of the city's most desirable neighbourhoods, and this recent building boom along with reshaping the way we live and function in the city has spurred on a rapid intensification of almost all areas close to transit nodes and culture hot-spots.
One of the lastest projects to hit this Midtown urban node is The Berwick, consisting of a 17-storey tower surrounded by a series of single family townhomes known as CityTowns. With these suites developers Andrin Homes and The Brown Group of Companies are offering a more exclusive and private living environment, and will feaure high end furnishings in homes ranging from 1,830 to 2,170 square feet. Most of the CityTowns will feature ground floor patios and private mid-level balconies. Meanwhile, the uniquely stepped tower designed by Page + Steele Architects will offer a more compact and efficient living environment in 205 units which range from 550 to over 1,000 square feet. The scale model of the Tower and CityTowns shows how it all fits neatly together.
Residents of the complex will have access to amenities like a 24 hour concierge, sauna, gym, game room and will be able to book visitors into a guest suite. The Berwick will also benefit from some green space in the centre of the developent designed by landscape architect Terraplan.
With the new LRT line set to bring new mobility to the area, this development along with a few others like 101 Erskine, E Condos, The Madison and Minto30Roe and popping up early as this neighbourhood becomes even more attractive to potential purchasers.
