This week's Throwback Thursday takes us just northeast of Midtown Toronto's Yonge and Eglinton intersection, for a view looking across the athletics field at North Toronto Collegiate Institute. Back in December, 2016, construction had just wrapped up at Minto30Roe Condos, a 34-storey, Wallman Architects-designed condominium tower on Roehampton Avenue just east of Yonge.

A nearly identical angle captured two and a half years later shows that another pair of towers have joined the mix. The newly-complete E Condos project has brought a 58-storey condo tower and a 38-storey rental apartment tower to the neighbourhood skyline, their design by Rosario Varacalli featuring vibrant red-glazed amenity levels. Just in front of E Condos' 38-storey rental building, a shoring rig marks the future location of E2 at E Place, a 46-storey rental tower designed by TACT Architecture.

We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto.
