Empire Communities' planned flagship project, Eau du Soleil, has been very well-received by condominium buyers, now one of 2012-13’s fastest selling residential developments with agreements written for 500 of the first tower's 750 units. Among the project's countless selling points, few stand out like the prime location along the Etobicoke Waterfront (highlighted in the image below in red), a location renowned for offering some of the best skyline views the GTA has to offer. Last week, UrbanToronto was invited to experience this breathtaking panorama from penthouses on the 37th floor of the neighbouring Empire project, Beyond the Sea.

Stepping out onto the balcony on a blustery day, we were greeted by unending views in nearly every direction. One’s eyes are immediately drawn to the east, almost involuntarily locking in on our city’s ever changing skyline, framed by Humber Bay’s white-capped waves and a frigid February sky. From this vantage point several popular projects, including the L-Tower and 300 Front Street West, can be seen dotting the skyline. The Toronto skyline isn’t the only unique vista visible from high above Humber Bay. Looking down towards the ground below, we see pack ice accumulated near the shore as well as frozen-over marinas, all giving way to a seemingly infinite Lake Ontario.

Turning to the northwest one sees Mississauga’s evolving skyline, punctuated by the curvaceous Absolute World towers. It continues to grow too and will provide an ever-changing horizon for residents of Eau du Soleil.

The penthouses at Beyond the Sea hint at the inviting picture of what is to come at Eau du Soleil. The beautifully appointed interiors are accentuated by the iconic skyline views which set the scene so dramtically. Eau du Soleil purchasers will have a similarly inspirational backdrop to base their furniture layout and decoration choices on!

Eau du Soleil’s contemporary 66 and 45-storey towers, designed by Zeidler Partnership and E.I. Richmond Architects, will feature several stepped terraces leading up to the dramatically swept curving roof features.  The façade of the towers will be highlighted by white metal bands, illuminated by LEDs, running up the length of the towers.

The 750-unit 66-storey tower has been selling briskly since sales launched last year, owing to both the ample amenities and highly desirable location. Sales for the shorter 45-storey tower, slated to contain 500 units, are expected to launch later this year.
