We here at UrbanToronto have a great view of the construction activity going on at Pure Plaza's Ivory on Adelaide from our new office located next to the site. We have just taken some photos of what is going on next door and pulled some from the Forum for this construction update.

Here's a view from our office window:

It looks like they have a bit more digging to do before the cranes come in to build Ivory, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects. When it's finished, Ivory will be 19 stories and contain 272 units. Below is a rendering of what the tower will look like when complete. It will be quite a dramatic change to the streetscape from what we see right now. There is a lot of activity to come along Adelaide Street and Richmond Street, with projects like Pinnacle on Adelaide and Studio/Studio 2 on Richmond to name just a couple. Developers taking advantage of the vacant industrial and warehouse spaces that line these streets to create new residential communities in the downtown.
