Woodbine Centre

this is all I could get from google
AI Overview

Woodbine Mall is currently owned by Romspen Investment Corporation. The original owner, Woodbine Mall Holdings, defaulted on mortgages in 2018 and entered into a forbearance agreement with Romspen. Romspen is a non-bank commercial mortgage lender according to Storeys.

Wouldn't be the first time the Woodbine was listed and then taken down without notice. What's with this mall and phantom investors secretly taking it off the market?

I went to woodbine recently and noticed something interesting. There was a group of business people who were touring the mall including the former bay location. My first thought was maybe interested buyers or maybe seeking a space to rent for filming. Just a funny observation

The business folks may be related to the GO station planning across the street at Woodbine Racetrack.

Who knows? The Woodbine Centre may make a great Go station car park.

There was a big rain storm yesterday. Perhaps there was some damage that needed repair before reopening the mall

Water damage has been a recurring issue in the mall. From the rust that overtook the elevator fountain, to the leaks in the
ceilings of stores on the lower level.

As for filming, I would imagine it really depends on the scope of the project. Years ago, my father and I stumbled upon
a film crew supposedly filming a project for Kiefer Sutherland. The crew were filming on the upper level near the elevator.
While walking by, the crew simply asked customers to stand back from the shot while the rest of the mall remained open.

Yeah, I doubt Sherway Gardens was completely shut down during filming of Mean Girls or The Sentinel.

New hours: The mall is now open 10am-7pm Mon-Saturday and 10-6pm Sundays but Fantasy Fair is closed until further notice according to the mall recording, when you call the mall's 437 number displayed at the top of their website.
*Trusting that the recording is up to date.
