Woodbine Centre

Several disgruntled visitors have been leaving poor reviews on google for the lack of rides and AC working in the Fantasy Fair for quite some time now.
Apparently, 1/3rd of the rides weren't in operation before the fair closed.

Maybe the faulty A.C., mall's temporary closure and the fair malfunctioning is due to the ghost of Closeout King refusing to let the Woodbine sell....

The only thing the previous owner regrets is not selling off the Fantasy Fair rides or scrapping them for metal lol.
Refurbishment is often better than scrapping. There's always someone somewhere wanting to own fair rides...especially those fly by night businesses that like to set up at random shopping mall parking lots for a short time here and there.

The previous owner tried selling the mall and fair together as a niche product. The prospective buyer would be purchasing more than a shopping centre, they'd
be acquiring a dying mall with an oversized playground attached. A niche item that the previous owner believed secured him the right, based on his experience
owning the mall for x amount of years, to choose a suitable party that would overtake the mall under his supervision.

For all we know, that mindset may very well still be intact: selling the mall and fair as one unit for a bigger payout.

i have not been to woodbine since 2012 i think

i went there with college friends to watch movies at the woodbine indie owned movie theater where the movie tickets were cheap

Recently, I happened to step foot in Woodbine for the first time since April.

Like many remaining shops, S & H Health Foods, a Woodbine staple for decades, is now running a store closing sale.

The lifesize standee of bodybuilder/Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno has stood in that window for as long as I can remember.

The tractor trailers are still lined up along the front parking lot, as are the missing letters that continue to remain pried from the
Maggiano's sign. While seven months have passed on the outside, time seems at a perpetual standstill inside the Woodbine
Center.

With every visit I continue to remain surprised that the mall is still standing. Then again, what mall in their right mind would shut
down with Christmas just around the corner?
