Oh, well put, I'm still rusty on my Canadian geography.
I saw in the news this morning that China has opened a new train to Tibet from Beijing. Apparently it takes 48 hours, one way, and they have to pump oxygen into the cabin at one point due to the mountains. I imagine this is part of China's plan to change the demographic of Tibet from, well, Tibetan, to conventional Chinese (can't think of a proper term for that, but I mean Mandarins, or is that Clemantines, you know, those oranges that peel like zippers).
