What's the future for the Conservative Party?

Screen Shot 2017-02-02 at 7.06.50 PM.png

"This afternoon, with great regret, I communicated to Kellie Leitch my decision to resign as her campaign manager. I did so because it has become clear that I have become a distraction to the campaign. When a member of a campaign team becomes the focus of media coverage, the time comes to resign. The campaign should be solely about the candidate and their plans, not their staff’s beliefs, nor their staff’s conduct. It has also become clear to me that the pressures that come with a stressful campaign leadership role are not conducive to my personal wellbeing. I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Kellie and the rest of the team. It has been a privilege to be part of this campaign, and I thank everyone for their support, confidence and friendship."

Interesting that he only referred to Leitch's campaign, not JT's. As to the resignation - it is just that. Nothing stops him from being involved in the shadow. Perhaps that question should be directed to KKL - is he still involved in any way, shape or form with your campaign? - and listen to what her answer is.

The funny thing is - the least offensive part of his rant was the cuss word, compared to the bolded part.

2/3rds of Canadians want what Kellie is talking about. You've weakened a nation today. Live with your treason. C*ck. Serious.

He is used to winning too, so this has to hurt. Since he was feeding Leitch all of those talking points, does she drop out soon?

But, but... it's not the same. A helicopter is in no way like a yacht...

Was Rona a Minister and did she take a private plain?

Did Rona recently give her vacation host a large sum of government money?

No doubt that Rona Ambrose and the Conservatives are 5 times more ethical than the Liberals, but Conservatives likely still will demand better.

Laughing at the life of a working class bus driver...

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/bus-driver-minister-laughter-1.3984808

Amarjeet Sohi, the minister of infrastructure and Liberal MP for Edmonton Mill Woods, rose in the house Tuesday to speak about transportation.

He began his remarks by acknowledging that as a former transit driver he was especially shocked to learn that a bus driver in Winnipeg had been stabbed to death earlier in the day.

"Mr. Speaker, as a former bus driver, I want to convey our thoughts and prayers," Sohi said.

On the video recording of the proceedings of the House of Commons, loud laughter could be heard coming from the opposition benches.
Fake News.

I saw a few of the partisan news media reporting this story out of context.

Immediately prior, a Liberal MP asked a set-up question
Could the minister explain how public transit investments are supporting communities like mine by growing the middle class and getting people home faster?
People started to grumble at the phony question and then broke out laughing at the ridiculous (initial) answer that he's a former bus driver. Out of nowhere, the Minister brought out the death of a bus driver in Winnipeg. The laughter stopped.

If this week’s debate on the motion was a trap cynically set by Justin Trudeau’s party, the Liberals could not have anticipated how enthusiastically many Tories would fling themselves into it – pandering to hysteria that the motion would curtail non-Muslims’ rights. (To be clear: It’s a motion, which means it would not change any laws whatsoever, and endorses very little other than the idea that fear of Muslims is a problem and along with other forms of discrimination merits further study.)

I actually agree with Conrad Black...
