That's just part of the Church, Richmond, Victoria, Adelaide on-street loop. It's pretty common for 504 cars to use it.

You are correct that the Church & Adelaide intersection is part of the planned Ontario Line diversion. I've seen a number of new poles up on Adelaide and supposedly track construction on York St as well as Adelaide is starting in June.

Yes, the streetcar tracks on Adelaide are being replaced from Victoria to Charlotte/Spadina and they have put up lots of new/replacement poles between Church and Spadina. Moving along!

The TTCs rather strangely organised replacement of streetcar overhead appears to be moving to the Church/Adelaide/Victoria/Richmond area. Adelaide is getting new poles (from Church to Spadina), the new overhead at the Queen/Victoria intersection appears to be completed and there are signs of new wires and/or hangers coming to the other streets. It will clearly be needed when the Queen diversions start (late 2023?) but may allow for the 504 to move to pans as these are fairly common short-turn routes and presumably the KQR intersection will have new overhead 'soon'. AFIK, Kingston Road is still not 'panto-wired' so the 503 may still have poles .....

That's just another variant of TSP, mostly used after midnight.
