From the latest CEO's Report to the next meeting of the TTC:
I can see with increased demand, North American manufacturers may start to design fully integrated solutions like European manufacturers.Wonder how long till busses end up with fully separate cabs like the streetcars and subway.

This is unacceptable that there is no maintenance procedures in place for work cars. The fact that they didn't even have anything in place is mindboggling. Completely asleep at the wheel.View attachment 615026

Hard to say. The simplistic electrical outfit of the H4s might work in their favour compared to the space age T1s, though those would undoubtedly be in better shape. The first incident should have triggered them to look at all of the hoses on all of the work cars.
Who's genius idea was it to tow a car leaking oil back to greenwood.?
With the retirement of the T1's will some be kept as work cars? This would allow the retirement of the H cars from the maintenance fleet. This would only work if the T1's can be connected to flat cars.
This feels like a waste. Just merge it with Metrolinx's which is already superior.
But T1 circuit board components may become hard to source.Hard to say. The simplistic electrical outfit of the H4s might work in their favour compared to the space age T1s, though those would undoubtedly be in better shape.
I fully expect some of the H4s at least to survive. Some of the conversions were done quite late - car 5630 was being shopped during the Greenwood open house in September 2019. I really can't see them junking it unless the T1 retirement comes very late indeed.
Some already were. With the retirement of the T1's will some be kept as work cars?
Shhh don't give them any ideas. This would allow the retirement of the H cars from the maintenance fleet.
It's the H5s and H6s that are most deserving of the "Space Age" title, much like the R44 and R46 in New York (actually even more so).the space age T1s
The circuit boards and other components in the H4s already are.But T1 circuit board components may become hard to source.
