TTC: Other Items (catch all)

What's even more intriguing is that they'll eventually need to modify every platform on the St. Clair streetcar line to accommodate the new streetcars. That’s going to be such a hassle! In my opinion, they should just stick with the current streetcars on St. Clair.
Are you in a time warp? What are you talking about?

What's more interesting is that they have to (eventually) cut down ALL of the platforms on the St. Clair streetcar line to fit the new streetcars. What a pain that will be! My thoughts: they should keep the current streetcars on St. Clair.

This post is eerily similar to the second post ever in this thread.... from 2013.... what the hell is going on here???

It's as if someone paraphrased it... but why?

It's a bot. Old content is sometimes relevant/popular again when the readers have forgotten about it. If you're trying to generate high-value accounts for future spam posting, this is a cheap way to go about it. Most fail but the effort/cost is very low.

I was passing through Warden just now and couldn't help but notice how incredibly dirty some stations are.

Now that the advertising is removed at Warden you can really see how badly the station and tunnel walls need cleaning.

I get that there are environmental concerns but at what point do they actually do clean things?

Take a look at the bottom of of the new panels going up on the northbound track at Queen Park station that looked dirty already and not complete panel yet. Most stations are very dirty these days.

When I was in Atlanta this summer, two large crews were hosing everything down for the 2 stations I saw it taking place and this was after 9:30 pm.

Islington is just as bad, and has been for many years. It's like nobody cares. I feel embarrassed for Toronto whenever I'm there and have to look at the patheticness.

A friend of mine submitted a complaint to the Mayor's office about these very walls, at this very station, a few weeks back.

He forwarded me the reply he ultimately got from TTC, which defensively suggested the walls had been cleaned quite recently.

They even sent a photo to prove it (do they routinely photograph themselves doing routine work?)

My friend replied and suggested they consider alternative cleaning techniques!

Next time they should take the photo with the day's newspaper in it. This definitely seems like a case where captions lie.
