Track gauge, yes. But as it's built for it, it is no major issue.

I believe that the same machine also works in Philadelphia and San Francisco, which use respectively 5' 2 1/4" and 5'6" track gauges.

For whatever reason these 504 shuttles go out of service and flip the sign to 32. It's been interesting seeing the 32 plying the streets of the financial district.

They forgot about doing at least two of the 5 they recommended when the rebuilt Broadview/Gerrard a couple of years ago and when they planned Church/Carleton (being done now). No doubt they will also forget about King/York when King is rebuilt (in 2024 ?) - though with Adelaide being reactivated it would be even more useful. (That rebuild should also add southbound track from Adelaide to King but...

It's a quirk of the new CAD/AVL system that the TTC has been using for the past couple of years. One of the features is the ability to automatically change the rollsign at the ends of the route without any driver intervention.

For whatever reason, it's triggered a change in the sign from one of the 504 branches to the 32A. It apparently corrects itself after a couple of minutes, most of the drivers don't even notice, and thankfully doesn't adversely affect NEXTBUS or any of the apps, as the bus' route and run number don't change.

Has anyone travelled on Yonge line lately? Travel time southbound has gotten very slow. There is a slow down and stoppage just North of Eglinton and another slow order on the track North of Bloor.

Does anyone know what is causing both slowdowns and how long they will be on for? Nothing available on the TTC site about it.

That's because of the construction of the Eglinton crosstown line and the new platform plus it's also the switch over point for ATC (might change soon though).

Ok thanks. I didn’t think the Eglinton slowdown was related to the Eglinton like construction as it’s only in the south direction that is affected. Hopefully it will be restored once Eglinton is finished.
 
North of Bloor is for ballast replacement in the open cut. The train probably ought to speed up a bit going into the station as the slow order ends at the crossover but it doesn't, I'm guessing due to the way the braking curve at Bloor station is set up in the ATC system.

I do not think they have done a subway charter in almost 15 years since the H5s were dumped. I know they did one when the G series cars retired.

Do they even still do them or is that something long since past?
