Can't remember if there's a Rapid TO thread so I'll out this here.
This is one of several route changes in the 2021 TTC Service Plan that was discussed at their December 15 meeting. While the Plan was accepted it has no implementation date and is doubtless subject to 'budgetary constraints'.Not sure if this has been posted yet but some changes to bus routes in Central and East Scarborough that will be implemented over the next several months.
I think this would help increase connectivity in the suburbs which would reduce time cost of travelling in terms of transferring into different busses.
- Peak-period express service on the 38 Highland Creek bus. In the morning peak, the service will operate as express eastbound from Scarborough Centre Station to U of T Scarborough, then local to Rouge Hill GO. In the afternoon peak, the service will operate as express westbound from U of T Scarborough to Scarborough Centre Station.
- Service on Brimorton Drive, connecting to Scarborough Centre Station, which will also replace 86D Scarborough service to Beechgrove Drive
- Extension of the 905 Eglinton East Express to Conlins Road, replacing the 116A Morningside service
- Extension of the 95 York Mills to Sheppard Avenue East at Kingston Road
- Extension of the 54 Lawrence East frequent service from Scarborough Golf Club Road to Morningside Avenue

Interesting.Backgrounder here, and supposedly all the work + recommendations will be complete by end of 2021, if I'm reading correctly. Then...who knows how long until it's actually accepted/implemented.The TTC and YRT are working to develop a new integrated fare policy for the next 5 years.

...or when your grandkids retire. Whichever comes first.
True that's negative but unfortunately true. We can't even get passed the GO/TTC co-fare stage. Why are you so negative about absolutely every single thing in this city, province, and country?!? Does it not get tiring to be such a pessimist. I can tell from some of your post that your old, why don’t you just enjoy your life and be positive. You’re posts do nothing but emit negative energy and barely get any reaction.

This just posted:Without the regular traffic, the subway and some TTC routes, particularly the 501 and especially the 505 streetcars, have become rolling shelters for maskless, non fare-paying bums, who will often beg for money, lie down on seats, and cause minor disturbances. I had to take Line 2 recently, and one guy - no mask to be seen - was getting close to passengers' faces with a begging cup, then passing from car to car while the train was moving. Now that most of the "choice" ridership is gone, working/studying from home, or driving to work, and not going out for leisure, that leaves mostly essential and low-income industrial workers these days needing transit.
It's likely the result of minimal enforcement - with TTC operators instructed not to intervene, especially now that they're isolated in their cabs, the loss of paying customers, the loss of other indoor spaces to congregate like drop-in centres, dive bars, and the sort.
Was just on a 504 with someone sleeping across the bench seat in the back and multiple no mask wearers and improper mask wearers. Welcome to the Toronto Transient Commission. This just posted:
