What makes you think the TTC is going to get cars that are any longer?At some point, TTC is going to longer cars to handle ridership increase with either 36 or 42 m cars as it becomes more expensive to have more driver on the route as well cars.
You have to take into account Toronto's geography into play; there are a number of intersections where if a streetcar was any longer then they already are today, there would be safety issues (ie: Queen/Lansdowne, Dundas/Lansdowne, etc.). And that's not even taking into consideration many on-street streetcar platorms where it's physically not possible to increase the length of them.
