Looking closely cars (some at least) have a U-shaped panel here. Presumably there's something that must be moved for towing ...What's with the "u"-shaped cutout in the front? I may be off base here, but is that new, or just for towing? I don't recall the others having that.

Good eyes! Now I'm going to have to keep my eyes open on the street!
4489 is sitting on the west end service bay track compare to sitting for days on the east end tracks.4492 was in the service bay yesterday and on an outside track now. Service debut today?
4493 at Exhibition Loop at present (2.10am)
Looking through the photos at https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Toronto_Transit_Commission_4400-4603 I don't start seeing it until 4430, after that its consistent. 4427 doesn't seem to show it, and there's no photos posted there for 4428 or 4429.
It seems really weird to me that such a minor detail would change across individual vehicles. Wouldn't the shape of the door be nailed down in the original design phase?
4489 has done its first day of testing since arriving July 10, 2018. It is on Queen heading to the Barns, east of Broadview
4493 testing on King St
4492 out in the lake and most likely being ready for service Sat.
