TTC: Flexity Streetcars Testing & Delivery (Bombardier)

Not if you think there are really only 2 or 3 Flexities here in the first place and the TTC simply switches the numbers around. How many have YOU seen in one place at one time? :->
my max was 4...so I can confirm more than 2! (week or so ago saw 3 bunched NB at Spadina/Bremner and 1 southbound (at least I think it was a different one...could have been a well placed mirror)

4429 is currently on 506 as in service testing the announcement system. With luck, it should be in service Friday so they can get testing underway for 4430.

If things goes like the last few cars, 4430 should enter service Dec 30.

I was at Queen and Leslie this afternoon and saw a Flexity (4423, I think) being used for training. The trainee operator looked terrified, hopefully he'll gain confidence. :D

Unless, of course, there are no Flexities at all!!! NASA claims that it flew a Flexity to the moon in 1969 and that astronauts exited the Flexity and actually walked on the surface of the moon. Ha! I bet Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin never even set foot in a Flexity! Lies, lies, it's all lies!!!!

Sorry for starting this. I would find it really hard to believe they would alter the photo it just at first (and each thereafter) glance at that photo the white 4430 number seems bit fake. It is in straight line and does not follow the curve of the panel. For comparison here is photo of 4403 from similar angle. You can see how the bottom part of the numbers follow the path (angle) of the top panel.... Just saying..

The number 3 font on 4430 is also slightly different from 4403.
Hold on, I thought the streetcars were delivered with no front number and that they only get applied before entering service . None of the previous deliveries had the white numbers applied beforehand.

In all seriousness I see what you mean about the number and I also agree that the number isn't usually put on the front of the streetcar by Bombardier, it's usually done by the TTC apparently.
My suggestion is that someone at Bombardier added the number to the photo, however, this is 4430 as can be seen by the number on the side. Right above the "just arrived" sign is the number 4430 (http://urbantoronto.ca/forum/thread...elivery-bombardier.3263/page-639#post-1175646) which is also the case with this picture of 4429 sitting on a rail car in Thunder Bay (http://urbantoronto.ca/forum/thread...elivery-bombardier.3263/page-630#post-1172457). Again, with 4429, the number is on the side but not on the front. I think someone at Bombardier just added the number on the front of 4430 to make it more obvious that this is actually 4430, which it is because we can see the number 4430 on the side of the streetcar.
