TTC: Easier Access Phase III

They could have. But that solves the aesthetic problem of having a station named for a street that has no entrance on said street. Based on the diagrams above, it does little for safety. I'd rather have the new entrance provide significant safety improvements and front on the Danforth. That would seem to be a better investment.

A private developer might build a 4 storey premises with a knockout panel in the basement to give an opportunity to link up at a later date, but left to the TTC alone, any Danforth frontage is likely to be a single storey single purpose box...

Pre-construction Open House - October 18, 2017

Is this picture of the Yorkdale entrance or Ranee?

It would have been very long. They did have a reasonable option to put one on Danforth - which would be a first for the Danforth subway.
