Seeing as the picture is right on Trinity's own website I assume it is accurate... Walmart is going in here? I personally attended several of the community/council meetings pertaining to this development and out of all the good/bad comments I heard that are so typical to this type of project, the one huge resounding concern I remember, No Big Box Stores...

No, Walmart was talked about and it would be a smaller version than the ones out there now in the 60,000 sq feet range. There was also talked about getting another grocer store like NO Frills going into this place that would replace the current one in Port Credit.

Still an ugly project like the Stockyards. Too bad the residential building had to be scale down.

This is a lot uglier than the stock yards,this is flatter and even more typical of a box store strip mall. Stock yards are nothing to look at but atleast there was more height and structure variance, I also preferred the darker colour they used at the stock yards.

This was quick. A bad month for Walmart on the stock market and they pull out of this venture .

The site billboards had Walmart and BMO "coming soon" written on them (in two locations). The Walmart references on all the billboards were painted over last week. BMO and PetSmart, and a couple other small stores, previously announced, are still confirmed for now.

I wasn't personally against Walmart but from the public meetings I know there were a lot of people vehemently against Walmart at this location... Anyone happen to have recent photos? I went by a couple weeks ago and it seemed they were making good progress (sorry no camera)
