Nice !
Thanks for the picture update, looks like they are moving along now, Hopefully we don't get anymore delays !
Funny to think they were supposed to be ready in 2 weeks!

Hey all, another question for anyone who can answer it.
The attached picture you will notice a utility pole, wonder if anyone knows if this is a temp pole?
This pole is literally right in front of my unit... and I can't be in any worse of a spot.
I haven't had a chance to check with the site super.
I thought I would post here, as this has me really worked up.
Thanks again

Update on the pole!
Its permanently there...
My email thread with Domenic Amato VP of Customer Relations for Fernbrook:

Domenic,

Thanks for the quick response.
I get there is nothing that can be done and that it’s not your fault but is there no planning involved as to where these things are placed, at least between two block and not completely blocking a $427,000 view !
This venture with Fernbrook just keeps getting better....

This pole which doesn’t seem like much to anyone else can affect us the ‘home owner’ in many ways especially resale, who wants to stare at a pole all day, not to mention we no longer live in two plus den... But thanks for the $50 credit back for cutting our den in half !

Thanks for your time.

Hi Paul,

In reference to your email below, I have spoken to construction here at the office and the site and have indicated that this is a permanent pole installed and approved by the city to service the site.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but there is nothing that can be done on this matter.

Best Regards,
Domenic A.

Domenic,

I wasn’t sure who I could contact in regards to a general question I have.
Attached you will find a picture.
This utility pole could not be any more directly in front of our unit we purchased.

I’m looking for someone to confirm that this is in fact a temp power line to the site.

Any ideas?

Thank Domenic

The hydro pole is unrelated to the project, no? If so, you didn't do your own due diligence buying a unit that faces a hydro pole.

Thanks maestro for the words of wisdom!
Does that pole look likes it's been around for years.... ?

This pole was placed recently, after the purchase....
Also, after I purchased a two plus den and now I have a two with a 1/4 den, thanks to fernbrooks lack of due diligence on city fire laws!

I understand it's a city issue, I've just had nothing but a negative experience with Fernbrook.

Have you purchased a unit as well ?

Its not the builder's fault that the city placed a utility pole there. If it wasn't going to be there it would be in front of someone else's unit and they would be the ones complaining about it. Its just unfortunate that it happened to be yours. What would you have them do about it?

You seem to have a legitimate complaint about the den issue, but the hydro pole is not their fault.

Isn't that just so precious....EYCC is debating today a Request for Direction motion for 4780 Eglinton...You would have thought in 2011 when Build Toronto sold the plot to Fernbook the City would have their I's crossed and T's dotted but no here we are three years later with Staff and CC looking to get Section 37 benefits from a project within density and height regs forcing the developer and the City into unnecessary OMB hearings and excess lawyer fees ...I guess this is another case of left hand, right hand...

Has anyone received another letter?
My husband contacted Domenic and apparently the new "Final Tentative Date" is dec 8, 2015.

You can't be serious, Dec. 2015??
What building/unit are you guys in?
I have not received a letter.
That's a make or break date for me.

I know, right?!
I'm hoping this is a mistake! I can't understand why they would need another 10 months...

We bought a unit in block 4... how about you?
