i'm quite impressed with the progress so far. They're really pushing things to get done asap. The race is on... who will finish first? West Lake, Waterscapes or Ocean Club?

I really hope the Metro won't be the standard, cold and bland ones that already exist. Here's hoping for something fresh, warm and new, similar to the Sobeys near by.

This could be the 4th tower of Westlake...or is this a development on its own:confused:

Proposed amendments to the Etobicoke Zoning Code to permit the development of a 45 storey mixed-use building (commercial at grade and 515 residential condominium units) with underground parking. Two storey residential townhomes integrated with the base building are included in the above noted residential unit count.

tweeted earlier today by Urbanation.....

Onni Group applies for 45-storey tower with 515 units for fourth Westlake building at 10 Park Lawn, Etobicoke

Trucks were rolling out/into the site in convoy of 3-4 trucks at a time with other trucks been held in the hole.
The earliest I see a crane on site is May/June.

I love the bakery because the entire neighbourhood smells like vanilla on certain days, however, it's a big waste of space that could be put to good use considering the density of the neighbourhood.

Excuse me but that waste of space bakery employs 600 people with decent wages. That plant has been there since the 50's, Oh and from what I hear our lease is 100yrs. So Its gonna be awhile longer before you get your shopping centre.

Waste of space. That site can be rendered into something that will benefit the entire community.

First, they will parcel the generous lawns fronting Lakeshore to sell to developers, then they will vacate altogether.
