Here's hoping for better PATH integration between PwC tower, 25 York, and the York Concourse. Pretty wild that to stay indoors you need to walk all the way to the Arena when the PATH is literally above/below one another.
That is the only such reference I could find online though. There are a few tech companies and firms named "Teamway," but no formal definitions in English language dictionaries. I guess that means it was a truly local term, or else just so arcane and dated it is vanished from any use. Pretty amazing that someone at the city or Metrolinx dug it up in the naming process of this hallway!IIRC, teams of humans/animals hauled cargo back and forth from Front Street to wharves. Okay, it seems I Recall not quite Correctly: http://torontoplaques.com/Pages/Teamway.html

I have heard the Teamways being called "Teamways" for many years - the word had certainly not vanished from any use. As much as I'd like to keep my money in Toronto and not send it to the Bay Area, taxis are basically unusable now. It's just constant negotiating and fighting for them to offer their regulated service as the regulations state. Most now keep their doors locked until you tell them where you want to go, and then speed off if they don't like the destination.Took the go train back from Hamilton after eclipse watching. Along with Leafs fans and the Jays home opener. The crowding at union was pretty bad, at least on the platforms.
We made the mistake of taking a taxi back from union to our apartment. First we got hassled about the short trip. Then we got hassled about whether we could pay cash. Then we got hassled when I asked him to turn on the meter. Then we got hassled when he thought I’d just hand up my credit card to the front seat without him showing me what he’d punched into the machine.
No wonder people take Ubers. That’s probably the last time I’ll take a taxi in Toronto.
