The Committee of Adjustment allowed the increase, but their decision has been appealed by the Solicitor for the City of Toronto to the OMB.

That's a learning item for me: I had no idea that the City (Council I presume) could appeal the decision of another of the City's bodies, and that it would have to go to the OMB the same way that external appeals do, but there you go.

Do we know when the hearing will be?

You've got better colour on the stone there than I have in my last shot above. From this distance, and with the caveat that it's got construction dust covering it at the moment, it looks rather cinder-blockish. Here's hoping that with windows in, the hoarding down, and a thorough wash, that it's a handsome addition to the streets (although I know many people have voiced their preference for retail at ground level here).

The cinder block look of the cladding on the town homes isn't doing the builder any favours. The last time I was in there they still hadn't sold a single townhouse. Since that time they finally lowered the prices on them. I'm not sure if they have sold any since the price drop.

When I walked by, I thought the same thing. It looked like cinder-blocks to me. It's hard to believe that's the final cladding.

From the DVP this am. Sorry about the poor cell phone quality.

Both towers now visible from Southbound DVP.

Whoa - they do just sneak around the other towers in that area! I sit corrected. Thanks!
