Not all of them are GO.

That's not the latest version. YRT is only using two bays; one for 20 (Jane) northbound, the other for southbound. GO get the other 16.

What are missing from Vaughan Centre’s signs are directions to Brampton Transit buses: Route 501 (but not the A & C branches) will stop both ways in the Rapidway.

The TTC claims, somehow, that it’s YRT’s fault, even though the TTC owns and operates the station.

And it’s impossible to fix this? I’m not attempting to trivialize this observation, but it sounds easy to resolve.

Beautiful, but I am surprised at how small it seems to be for a terminal station. Single escalators, narrow stairways. Typical of the TTC however. Compare Berri-UQAM in Montreal to Bloor-Yonge; the scale is so different. Or College station - was it a lack of vision or good old Ontario penny-pinching that made them bet on a ridership so small that a single escalator and a single stairway would be enough?

Kind of off topic, but why did Vaughan build their City Hall (and Civic Centre Library) at Keele and Major Mackenzie rather than in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, which creates a dual "downtown" type situation? I would assume a major reason would be that the planning for the Civic Centre happened before the TTC planned the subway extension to go all the way to Highway 7, so when they heard the news, they immediately created new plans for a secondary downtown (more like primary) but still continued plans for the Civic Centre. The question now is, which one is the City Centre, well it would be the Metropolitan Centre of course.

On top of that, they built their (beautiful) resource library right next to city hall, as if justifying its location.

IIRC the plans for VMC actually predate those for the City Hall, and it's something they regret. That's one of the reasons why they're putting a library in the PwC/YMCA building. I think the justification for putting the city hall there is that it's in the heart of Maple, which (unlike VMC) is an established community.

VMC by night:

Plans for the subway, and the VMC area were around at the time that the city hall project was being looked at. My recollection was that they chose to remain at the existing location and renovate/expand rather than move because it was cheaper.

One wonders what would have happened if City Hall and the Mackenzie health hospital were built within VMC.

The YMCA project includes a municipal library IIRC.
