Vaughan Transit City Condos | 176.17m | 55s | CentreCourt | Diamond Schmitt

The rendering is so inaccurate. It makes it look like KPMG tower is right on Hwy 7, it's not. In its place is the old Future Shop/Home outfitters building.

I agree that the rendering is inaccurate. They drew in this condo project as well as the parking garage and PwC/Library/YMCA building about 25% larger than the surroundings, including the KPMG building, which is much larger.

The rendering shows empty space where the Futureshop building is located. If anything, the KPMG building appears here to be located in the middle of the Futureshop parking lot.

For anyone wondering, the street in the foreground is Portage Parkway. So it is very presumptuous for the developers to give this an address on Highway 7.

I also love how they managed to work in the CN tower and downtown Toronoto off in the distance.

The CN Tower is definitely shown in the wrong spot. It is 25 degrees further left than shown. The rendering's heading is 195 degrees and the field of view, from the photo's left to right edge is about 60 degrees. Here's Google Earth for comparison.

Based on the render I learned that Vaughn city centre is located at Bathurst and Sheppard.

The best part of it is their bs excuse that they couldn't build it below.
Real reason is above ground parking costs 1/2 as much as underground.

The garage is also for far more than just the condos, it'll serve as a general public garage as well for visitors and office employees in the new "downtown".

According to the drawings, it looks like the Walmart will be gone (the development will be adjacent to a future Buttermil Ave. extension, which will go over the Walmart building)...
