Anybody else believe that part of Holt Renfrew's decision to open a stand-alone men's store on Bloor may have been somewhat predicated on the belief that Strolley's (an upscale men's store) is likely on the way out?

They don't share the same clientele.

Directly across from arguably the most popular building under construction, I think the developer needs to up his game. I hope something tall and iconic will be built on the site. The twin towers of Yonge/Bloor, gateway out of/into downtown.

Here's what I heard--it may be wrong info: Great Gulf, 80-100 storeys, "iconic" architecture. Launches early 2015. I heard this from a biz owner in the area about 8 months ago.

I would love if this project were the long-anticipated "Synergy". I've been wondering about that project since the advertisements for it first appeared three years ago.

He didn't say it was planned for this location, in fact he pointed to it being at Hogg's Hollow and even doubted it was real. So, how can you believe him?
