It's a quantum leap for the area. The design looks more interesting than the lacklustre tower that Smart Centres is proposing for the Canadian Tire site to the west.

It's great to see the investment in the area considering that it's walkable, mixed use, and full of character (especially with the hilly side streets). Eglinton is currently quite bleak in the area and starved for investment. Hopefully, that'll change quickly with the LRT and GO transit investments coming to the area.

I go back and forth on whether or not I like the colour, but certainty points go to superkul for thinking outside the box and trying something different.
 
The colours are great. The building makes the area nicer, but the city should remove the overhead wires along Eglinton, as was done on Bloor and Yonge Streets after the subway opened. It also needs trees and greenery in front of it, ideally irrigated, to soften all the pavement around it.
