Not really. The whimsical pink glass is a nice change of scenery from THE GREY.

Oh man... the fact that it has some pink glass does not excuse it for being otherwise completely devoid of architectural interest. That bit of pink is what I would call a "gimmick".
And the way it meets Bay Street? Yikes. It's just really, really bad.

In this case it's a gimmick that gives it far more flavour and character than virtually everything that surrounds it.

It represents its time very well; yes there's gimmick involved, but it's a very strong, sturdy form. The reflective glazing and shock of colour is very much of its time.
As for the way it meets the street, I'm not sure that it's weak at all. The angled glazing and the brightness of the retail units is quite successful. The Pizza Nova there is a really bright, open space and is far more unique and successful as a retail space than most of the new retail units (in newer condos) all over the downtown.
