The Bentway can't really go further east than is already planned: Lake Shore is underneath 95% of the rest of the Gardiner.

It is getting a little crowded in the SW corner of Sugar Warf 1.
Taken Sunday.

Wow - the scale of the underway and planned developments for QQE is massive, even by Toronto standards. I've been waiting for this for a long while and it is now really getting into full swing.

And these last pics make the fact that Loblaw hasn't yet thrown their hat into that ring look especially evident.

As far as I know, Loblaws has been fully involved in the planning in the Lower Yonge precinct and the new east-west street will eventually cut right though their property (and end at Lower Jarvis). I doubt that they want to start developing their current site until they can (maybe) relocate this fairly busy store to one of the new buildings either permanently or while they build something on the current site. (I think the new street will run about where the current parking entrance is so they might be able to keep the store operating while they develop the parking site first but ....)

I totally agree, and I'm really excited about it. But it just won't be ready until there's proper transit here. The bus connections are ludicrous. I find it almost absurd that we've gotten this far with the developments without anything concrete about an LRT

Welcome to Toronto, where mass development happens first and the supporting mass transit doesn't come until 50 years after.

We wont be seeing any improved transit around this site until 2030 and that's being really optimistic.

A redesign when they are in the middle of construction? Good luck with that.

By "at the back", you mean on the Loblaws parking deck site?

may be that's their future plan, once they r done with sugar wharf project they will build something on that parking. and if u look closely there is a shadow of a midrise next to the sugar wharf office building on the Loblaws site.

The design of the park from the Sugar Wharf is different from the one that is seen in the renders of 1 Yonge. Does anyone know what the final design will look like? I'm kind of rooting for the one with the big fountain that is seen in the renders of 1 Yonge
