In the old design inside the onion dome at the top there were multiple small, cut pieces of glass. Do you think the new version will include this detail or not? I have a feeling that it will be dropped.

That advertising article contains a rather pathetic typo.

"The next step will be equally daunting, the forming and pouring of the central core, the concrete tower within a tower that will house the elevators and serve as a structural spin on which the rest of the building hangs."

For such a high profile condo, I would consider that to be unacceptable.

Anyways, on an unrelated topic, the same article speaks of underground parking levels. I recall this project as having an above-ground parking structure in the first 5 or so floors of the building, in order that PATH may be incorporated below... what happened???

Who says it can't have 1 or 2 underground parking and the rest above? With such a small site for a building with that many floors, many levels would be needed since there will be very few spaces available per floor

That's incorrect. Underground parking doesn't exclude the possibility of a PATH connection. The two can coexist.

Eg. almost every single other building with a PATH connection.

What's the obsession with PATH connections? It's not as if any of you will be using a connection to this building or most, if not any of the new buildings going up in the city.

okay ... I'm not going to fuel debates (seeing that you've had plenty on this subject Ed :) )

I'll just say PATH is completely under-utilized during summer (except on crazy hot days) ... however IMO it is a marvellous infrastrucure to escape from snow in the cold winter months ...

They made even more odd mistakes on their website. When you register on the website, which you have to if you want to view floorplans, they make you provide some details like which country you reside in. They list countries, along with the official titles. For several eastern European countries, they list the Soviet era title, such as the "Socialist People's Republic of Albania".

Leaving Rob Fordland before it is too late.
Kiss that ad goodbye in a few months.

Many of us work in the CBD and use the PATH system every day to get around and any new routes will be an enormously welcome enhancement to our shop and food court laden subterranean mobility.

Comment destroyed.

You still have no need to ever go inside the Trump Tower so a connection to the path is useless to you. Unless you plan on buying a suite which I doubt.

You might still go to an event or restaurant in the hotel, meet a someone who's staying there, date someone who lives there, or conduct some business there. There are so many potential scenarios.

Even if you discount all that, you can't blame a person for being aspirational.
