It might be intumescent paint. I'm not sure of the ratings on beams of that size.

They will be outside. They may deal with the indoor beams later.

I like to think that for all the conversation over the years, that this becomes another beloved building like the OCAD/Alsop tabletop did over the years. (Hard to imagine that one will be 20 in a couple years, and a little funny/sad that the first post in this forum was just over 16yrs ago)

Looks like a vacuum excavator so sucking up the dirt. My sons favourite truck after a fibre install on the street.
