Toronto St Lawrence Condos at 158 Front | 91.44m | 26s | Cityzen | a—A

We walked up the Frederick side this morning, and it looks really nice. The sidewalks are really wide, great for a stroller or a balance bike.

It's a pity that the City could not widen the rest of the east sidewalk on Frederick - from the end of 158 Front up to King. Maybe, one day the street will be reconstructed?

Outlook for on-site work at 158 Front Street East – August 2 – 5, 2022

JULY 29, 2022 ADMINUNCATEGORIZED
Work is set to resume on the sidewalk work on Tuesday, August 2, after the Holiday Weekend.
We have had questions regarding when the new street trees will be planted but we do not yet have a timeframe for that. Once we do we will post and share it.

We have also received questions about ‘fix-ups’ to some small surface areas on the perimeter of the site, while we do not have a precise date at this time, we want assure neighbours that this work will be completed prior roughly proximate to the completion of the final sidewalk work.
There remains some interior finishing on the upper floors that is outstanding. It is expected that this will be completed in the coming weeks. Purchasers of suites who wish specific information about their unit are asked to contact Cityzen Development Group directly.

Looks like a lot more pedestrian walking space which is great!
Yes, the developer was forced to pull the building face back a bit and then the City & the BIA put extra $$ from section 37 funds into widening the Front sidewalk further and installing proper tree pits. They are now looking at how to widen the other sidewalks on Front between George and Sherbourne, and (more importantly) how to pay for this.

They say the sidewalk will (may) be finished this week - it REALLY has taken VERY long time. Just shows that it is not only the City's contractors who can 'make a job last'!!

Update for 158 Front Street East

AUGUST 26, 2022 ADMINUNCATEGORIZED
Work continued this past week on the Front Street East sidewalk.
The construction management team is hopeful that the Front Street East sidewalk will be open by the end of next week. As observers and neighbours will have noted, a few sections on concrete and interlocking brick remain to be completed.
We will have an update at the beginning of the week to refine the timelines and note any other key items that may be of interest as we approach the completion of exterior on the site.
