That first shot taken above Casa Loma - I used a similar shot taken a few years ago as my screensaver. Here it is for comparison. Probably taken by the same guy (Drew at SSP), but I didn't take down the photographer's name, so I'm not 100% sure.

Drew just posted the image... the photographer (Matthew) is below the image as the properly credited source.

Slightly off topic, does anyone know what this large spire in northwest toronto is? Tried to locate it but can't figure it out. Lots of trees. In the west humber estates area maybe? It's illuminated nicely at night. Taken from midtown.

This, AFAIK is the Latter Days Saints temple, off Bramalea and Bovaird in Brampton, hence the higher elevation.

My theory for the big building nearby is the Brampton Civic Hospital which is across the street.

That looks exactly right! The hospital looks right too. Thanks very much. Spent a long time trying to find it but wasn't looking that far away. Spire looks smaller and somewhat less exciting on streetview.

No problem. It gave me something to do while waiting for my subway car to move out.
EDIT:
I meant to post this earlier from my walk on Tuesday. It's an image of the Yonge and Eglinton skyline from the NE corner of Eglinton and Don Mills
