So excited to see this start to take shape (and I wait with baited breath to see the cladding). My fantasy is for this area to become a low-rise architectural mecca the likes of Bond St. in NYC.

Those hopes are unsubstantiated and held without very good reason but I hold them nonetheless.

This building is 25 storeys. Low-rise it isn't.

Sep 24, 2014: The plan for the ground level of 60 Colborne has changed. No more arches, no more vermiculated rustication. You may have found it ugly, I found it very interesting. The plan now is for rectangular windows in projecting stainless steel frames. Haven't seen pics yet, but it could still look quite good.

The cheapening would be replacing the rust with aluminum and not stainless steel.

Drawings submitted to the city in February 2016 indicate that the arched vehicular entrance is still part of the design. Apparently there have been some cladding changes, however - I imagine this relates to the vermiculated motif at ground level as indicated by interchange42.

As for "not seeing the arch", as I indicated a few pages back, there's no reason you would see the arch in the primary concrete structure. The arch is not structural per se- I imagine it will be formed with steel later on.
