This will definitely be the ugly duckling of the Carlaw stretch. So uninspiring. Reminds me of a Hampton Inn.

I think everyone is being very dramatic. The building fits in with the other brick buildings along Carlaw and the finishes are head and shoulders above "The Carlaw". I also think if a building such as the Carlaw or the brad lamb building were to go up where showcase is, it simply wouldn't fit in. Those buildings are perfect as the focal points at the corner of Dundas and Carlaw, but would look very awkward on that lot.

The building is really no different than any of the buildings along the Carlaw strip and I think people will see that once it is finished.

How does this mustard coloured stucco building fit in with the red brick buildings already there?

You either haven't seen a renedering, haven't been in the neighborhood, or work for the developer.

I think the swipe at other projects in the area gives away CD12345's position. Not to mention the thoughtlessly generic username, join date, and immediate defense of such banality.

Oh well, at least Aragon's next project shows much more design initiative.

I don't work for the developer at all. I actually love the leslieville area and i am considering purchasing a condo/loft in the area. I actually think the Carlaw and the brad lamb building look great from the outside! I haven't seen the brad lamb building on the inside, but I have seen the showcase sales centre as well as the Carlaw sales centre. I think the finishes/quality in the showcase are far better and I don't think the building looks bad from the outside.

I also think the brad lamb building and the Carlaw are perfect at the corner of dundas and the Carlaw (as focal points as you are enter Carlaw). I just think a brick building fits in better in the middle Carlaw where there are all brick buildings rather then having two modern buildings there.

Just my 2 cents...and yes I joined today...I thought the blog was interesting and wanted to get involved as part of my research!

The top floor has huge ceilings. This building turned out to be better than I expected. It's not my favourite under construction by any means though. I would have liked to see the lighter part of the building to have been set back a bit though.
