I wonder how close this will be to the South Bond Building. The renderings show it being connected to the Interior Design building, and so I wonder if the back door exit of SBB will be attached to the main podium of this new facility. That would be nice, but I'm not sure if that would break any fire code.

There is an alley between the two, so no, they won't touch.

I wonder if Ryerson plans to upgrade that alley at all, I can see students walking through it to cut over to this building from Gould street. I hope they don't let it become the next Victoria lane.

I see this back alley getting really sketchy if they don't spruce it up... And what's so bad about Victoria Lane? In my opinion, the brutalist architecture sucks but the natural form of it is quite charming!

Perhaps Ryerson can set aside money in this project to refresh the alley in a similar way Barbara Ann Scott Park is being revitalized once Aura is completed.

I wish they would articulate the facades of the south, east, and north elevations with a second material in the reliefs around the windows. It would really lighten the visual bulk here.

and that is apparently exactly what they are doing. The section 37 funds from this one are going to rebuilding the lanes on the block.

Planning is recommending that Council approve the plan.

Once again, another development that flew under my radar. I've been riding past this lot for years wondering when it's going to get developed. Nice to see some activity here. Ryerson is really expanding at a remarkable pace.

Amazing. This will go some way in making the area feel more complete.

I'd like to know what's going on with the lot on the s. side of Dundas, between Church and Bond is going to go. She's been a'itchin'.
