Toronto The Rosedale on Bloor | 185.92m | 55s | Gupta | Arcadis

This reminds me of 2221 Yonge - took forever to reach grade (and even building the podium), but sped up considerably after that. Of course their site is tighter than Rosedale on Bloor’s.

Dundas Square Gardens had an initial occupancy date of Dec 2017. It's 2019 and as of now, the occupancy date is March 2020. So a total delay of 2.25 years. With the Rosedale condos, the advertised occupancy was 2019. If the delay is as much as for Dundas Sq Gardens, expect completion by 2021 (or later). Ground-level completion date -- who knows! It may be delayed by the fact that it is a complex site. It's almost November so things may slow down further in 2 months.

Does anyone have an idea when this project will reach at ground level?

This project has nothing to do with Dundas Gardens.

Separate projects, separate teams.

This has had extensive problems with excavation and foundation re-designs. Additionally, soil conditions and site logistics are proving to be more time consuming.

It'll go!

Site logisitcs are definitely an issue. Selby was already restricted with The Selby under construction, making access through that side difficult. At the same time, Bloor was ripped up for resurfacing and other road works during the past few months, along with Sherbourne being restricted to one lane in a single direction for a few weeks.

Now that all this work is done, there should be more room for this crew to work.

Wow, that is a terrible podium. Should be out in a suburb someplace more suited to people who like to drive everywhere. I assume some architect is patting themselves on the back for coming up with a design that looks quite nice as a stand-alone building in renders ... but they forgot that it is in the middle of a vibrant city and should also engage the street as something more than just a block of brick that you walk past.
