Toronto Post House Condominiums | ?m | 21s | Alterra | Wallman Architects

Hi All,

I went to the Post House sales centre today, and it was quite the buzz.

I was initially interested in Curve Condos, but heard some real horrible things about Urbancorp and the delays and restructuring of the exterior and interior of the West Side Lofts (also built by Urbancorp).

The only thing I am wondering, is if anyone has heard more about Alterra? I have heard about some condos of theirs built in Brampton and Hamilton, which seemed to have rave reviews and where the finished product looked very similar to what was proposed at the beginning of construction, but I was wondering if anyone has heard any thing else about the builders. I have heard great things about the designer, but again the builders will make or break this deal for me

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Aldha86, I'm a real estate agent that has worked with Alterra before and they are a great builder. Other than the Brampton project, they also built condos in the Dufferin and Steeles area where the Vinnie Zucinni use to be. Maybe you can book some showings with an agent and take a look at those ones. Hope this info helps! Good Luck!

Any idea when shovel will go into the ground on this project? The sales office was saying April.

I've been watching for the parking lot to stop selling monthly passes. Looks like they are almost ready to dig.

LOL! I remember seeing ads in Condo Guide a year ago saying construction was about to start!

Took a pic of construction. Thought I'd share.

I predict this sleeper is going to surprise a lot of people.
Had a real good look at the model in the sales office the other day.
It should look quite handsome as a backdrop to those old buildings on Adelaide. I expect it will slide in very comfortably beside the Vue and the rest of the neighbourhood.
Speaking of which, that area is certainly evolving rapidly. Picking up vibes of a cool Soho Manhattan feel from our recent walks exploring the shops.
Is this turning into a great city or what.
