2x 5s in the thread title would not reflect the total height of the buildings after the extensions are added. People will have to read the thread to find out that the 19 storey buildings are the result of 5-storey additions. We can only do so much in the thread titles.

This is going to the OMB based on the City's failure to act within the 120 day review period, and the City will be opposing it there based on their view that the application represents an overdevelopment of the site. Pre-hearing meeting on May 22, hearing in October.

And here's the decision: "...to permit the construction of a 24-storey residential tower along Holly Street, a 32-storey residential tower along Dunfield Avenue, an additional five-storey above each of the two existing buildings, and a 6-storey rental apartment building at the northwest corner of Soudan Avenue and Dunfield Avenue, all on the Applicant’s lands."

Actually, I do not think that is the decision at all. The parties appear to have reached a settlement: the removal of the proposed additions to the top of the existing buildings, the removal of the six-storey building on the subject lands occupied by the two houses at 86 and 88 Soudan Avenue, an increase to 27 storeys for the proposed new building fronting onto Holly Street, and an increase to 34 storeys for the proposed new building fronting onto Dunfield Avenue. 4 PL140898 The new buildings will have a total of 539 new units and a total gross floor area of approximately 43,119 m 2 . The two existing 14-storey apartment buildings are to remain. Each existing building contains 162 rental units. The two new buildings will each abut one of the existing rental buildings.

You beat me to it. I don't think that poster actually read the decision.
 
And it looks like there's a new park as part of the agreement fronting onto Soudan, where the 6 storey building was proposed:

The portion of the subject property that fronts onto Soudan Avenue to the south of this easement will be provided as parkland dedication and parkland improvements pursuant to both s. 42 and s. 37, respectively, of the Planning Act. The new park will be approximately 1,550 m 2 in area. The removal of the two houses that currently provide rental accommodation requires approval under s. 111 pursuant to the City of Toronto Act.
The agreement also requires the Applicant to convey a 2.1 metres (“m”) wide public pedestrian easement to connect the Holly Street sidewalk to the Dunfield Avenue sidewalk to create a mid-block connection contiguous to the new park.
 
Eh it's not great. It's actually kinda bad. Sort of hard to look at for long periods of time.
 
This project is on the cover of New Condo Guide. All renderings in the publication conveniently avoid the original/existing apartment buildings.
