I used to live on Jarvis next to the RCMP headquarters; Occasionally there would be a bomb scare (usually in the middle of the night) and all the residents within a one block radius would have to be evacuated from their homes. As everyone knows, the RCMP have since relocated to Newmarket and "The Grand" is the new resident at that address.. I couldn't imagine them having to evacuate a building this large, which is in part why it is now feasible to build greater density in the neighbourhood.
