For a split second, I thought I was looking at Aura while on the QEW @ around Parklawn. Huge impact now.

I am in Toronto for the first time in many months and, for a variety of reasons, drove down Yonge St from near St Clair to Queen's Quay. It was a fascinating drive for anyone interested in architecture and construction.

I had not seen One Bloor East in its developing glory. Magnificent! It was beyond my expectations, created by the excellent photos on this site. I was surprised that, to my eye, it actually seemed taller than Aura. I know this to be far from true but so it seemed. I suppose it must the consequence of those flowing, sinuous vertical lines in the structure.

It's also built on higher ground that Aura -- I believe someone upthread determined that the roof will at a greater elevation than Aura's roof, even though the building is shorter.
