TORONTO, Dec. 15, 2014 /CNW/ - In its quest to discover the best developers in the world, the International Property Awards in London invited development companies to present their finest work. The judging committee chaired by three members of the House of Lords scrutinized hundreds of entries and Great Gulf won the International Property Award for Best International High-Rise Residential Development for the ONE BLOOR condominium project.
Having already competed at country level throughout the regional stages of the International Property Awards 2014-2015, representatives from the top scoring companies across the globe gathered in the Joharah Ballroom at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on Thursday (December 4th). There, in the presence of the Earl of Caithness, chairman of the judges for development categories, the ultimate World's Best winners were announced.
The International Property Awards in association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is in its 21st year and the largest, richest and most prestigious property competition in the world. This year in excess of 2,000 companies from 103 different countries took part making the financial value of the competing projects astronomical. Indeed, their total worth is estimated at around £20 billion.
Covering 50 different residential and commercial categories, regional heats are staged for Arabia, Europe, Africa, Canada, Central & South America, the Caribbean, USA, UK and Asia Pacific. These have been celebrated at gala presentation events in Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles and London during the course of the year and now in Dubai. The highest scoring entries from each category in every region are then re-evaluated to establish the winners at international level, culminating in an annual grand final.
Judging is carried out through a meticulous process involving a panel of over 80 experts covering every aspect of the property business. The judges not only look for the most impressive and innovative projects, they also examine the sustainability and eco-friendliness of every property and development.
