July 9: Major work on the King Street sidewalk, with the traffic on King Street being held while pedestrians are directed to the north sidewalk on King Street to get around the construction.

Just wonderful to see these facades properly cleaned up, if the streetscape is 1/2 way decent this will be quite good..

I have to say, when @AHK and @PMT are on a roll on the same night, keeping up with them is a calorie-burner.

Love how the heritage planners decided it was important to "restore" 2.5 storeys of the old facades but the ground floor elevation was a free-for-all.

Monday afternoon, July 21. Very active crew working on the replacement sidewalk in front of Maverick, among other things, installing the formwork for the new concrete. Lot of supplies on site as well.

Exactly, it doesn't look luscious enough for Toronto Hydro to make their cuts. They'd rather wait until that fresh smell of concrete is piping out and that's when they'll come out in full force for the utility cut.

The execution of the facades are beautiful... I just hope they become home to a decent restaurant or cafe and not another weed dispensary eyesore

August 7 - A long time coming, but the sidewalk in front of Maverick is finally getting close to the finish line. Concrete is complete, the decorative stone section along the street edge is in progress, and the landscape contractor is preparing the sidewalk planters.
