A fascinating tour of Hariri Pontarini Architects (King West) as part of Doors Open. A few sample pics including a tiny hand held model of a section of the Massey Tower. Tons of gorgeous models of many of their buildings, a talk about their lovely renderings, a vast up-to-date styrofoam model of the city, and their boardroom with sample materials used in their Baha'i Centre in Chile.

Was wondering about that...and there's no shortage of eagle-eyed people in the know on UT, so if Mod's want to remove those...feel free. Mind you, there was never a word to the myriad of viewers snapping photos willy nilly.

It looks like the glass is fritted(?) white in certain areas and clear in other areas. I'd love to see how to total effect turns out!

It's alright .... it could have been my misunderstanding but I was expecting something more akin to tridel's glossy white precast (or some material) panels in alexandra park for the balcony itself ... as opposed to just different tinted glass

Latest update:

Activity at the site of MOD Developments Inc's Massey Tower Condos has been progressing on Yonge Street north of Queen four roughly three years now. Work began with the June 2014 demolition of the rear portion of the 1905-built Canadian Bank of Commerce building at 197 Yonge Street, the preserved frontage of which will live on at the base of the new 60-storey, Hariri Pontarini-designed condominium tower. When we last checked in on the project in mid-March, forming was in progress for the 14th floor of the tower, which will be the fourth of the building's residential levels. Work has since progressed another few levels, with the tower now standing 18 levels above Yonge Street as the installation of balcony glass gets underway.
