Eataly (Canada) is in a partnership with the Westons, and they were one of the big players pushing the government for alcohol sales outside of the LCBO. It certainly wouldn’t surprise me if they did. They (Galen Weston et al.) don’t seem terribly interested in cutting into the revenue of even their own franchisees (see; Bloor Street Market), so I doubt they care much there’s an LCBO two floors down. And Doug Ford will have no problem cowtowing to one of the richest families largest employers in the country if they ask him.
